Blue Sky

Usually from late June to September, monsoon hits the city of joy. We get grey sky and spells of rain. Then as the  rainy season subsides, the festive mood kicks in with the Durga Puja. We have clear blue skies full of clouds during that time.

However, much to my surprise, on July 1 the skies were not dull grey but clear blue and full of clouds and the feeling that all Bengalis get before the festive season begins was clearly felt in the air despite the odd timing.

Here is a glimpse of what I saw and what I could capture though the lens.

Unfortunately, though it was a pleasure to admire the Sunday sky, we were greeted once again with a dull grey sky the day after (Monday), reflecting the mood of a long week that is set to follow.
